Curated by Rita Yuan-chien Chang, the exhibition of Zero-in was orginated from her proposal for the Taiwan Pavillion at the 1999 Venice Biennial. The art works of the selected artists featured in the present exhibition catalogue attempted to look at the past to rediscover the origin of one's life, and to find a balance between technology and culture, material and spirit in today's technology-oriented society. With a preface by Huang Tsai-lang, Director of Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
