This CD contains the slide presentation (in PDF format) given at the talk presented by the Asia Art Archive on 18 November 2008 with Charles Guarino, Publisher of Artforum, Philip Tinari, Contributing Editor of Artforum and Alice Wang, Managing Editor of artforum.com.cn.

AAA welcomes Artforum Magazine to Hong Kong to introduce the principles and practice of its editorial policies and how those policies are being applied in China. Founded in 1962 in the US, Artforum Magazine made the first move towards establishing its name in the Chinese art community with the launch of a Mandarin language website last year. The Artforum team discusses some of the questions that have arisen as a result, concerning the most basic precepts of the magazine, its critical objectivity, and the invasion of self-interest in a nascent art world.
