This book is the photographic documentary of the kite-flying art project Man, Eagle and Eye in the Sky by Cai Guo-Qiang, which took place in Siwa, a remote oasis town at the edge of the Western Sahara Desert in Egypt in 2003. The aim of the Siwa art project was to commission international contemporary artists to realize an art project through collaboration with the local community, drawing on indigenous traditional skills and knowledge and cultural heritages of Siwa. Includes notes on authors, photo credits, and the list of all the participants, production teams, and project patrons.
