Wei Qingji is a contemporary Chinese artist who explores the ink medium, and mixes it with other materials in his artistic creation. The present monograph features his works from the period 1995-2002 which include ink painting, mixed-media pieces as well as sculpture and ceramic art. Essays by noted critics on contemporary Chinese art give an introduction to the art of Wei Qingji. With a foreword by Guo Xiaochuan, editor of this series of books on contemporary Chinese artists.
