This is a catalogue published in conjunction with the touring of a series of exhibitions by a batch of graduates from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute over the past two decades. These artists are devoted in exploring traditional two-dimensional media, such as oil painting, ink painting, or prints, where they find the limitation of two-dimensionality a source of creative tension. In this exhibition, the striking regional features of the exhibited work are stressed. Artists' biographies are included. Feng Bin, one of the Sichuan artists as well as the curator wrote the acknowledgements at the back.
