As mentioned in the preface by Kazuko ENDO, a series of exhibitions entitled ‘Curator’s Eye’ started in 1991 in a biennial style. The Director of Gallery NW House, Kazuko ENDO, choose six curators to curate solo exhibitions of young emerging artists every other year. The first series was curated by public art museum curators, whereas the second one was done by women curators. ENDO chose six art critics both from academic and journalistic background. This material includes an essay by each curator, along with images of the exhibition and reference images of artists’ works. Selected biographies are available.
