'For the exhibition "Currents in Korean Contemporary Art", jointly organized by the Taipei Fine Arts museum, Hong Kong Arts Centre and National Museum of Contemporary Art, eight Korean artists resident in Korea or abroad in Europe and the US were invited to come to Taiwan to show their works. By including works in different artistic media such as painting, photography, installations, video and multimedia, we aimed to explore the pulse and direction of contemporary Korean art from different sides and catch a glimpse of what the next century may bring in Korean artistic expression.' - abstract from preface by Huang Tsailang, Director of Taipei Fine Arts Museum. There are prefaces by Kwangsu Oh, Director of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea, Huang Tsailang, Director of Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and Oscar Ho Hingkay, Exhibition Director of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Also included are artist's biographies.
