'Domestic Notes is a publication-based project developed by Nuraini Juliastuti. Domestic Notes uses domestic and migrant spaces as sites to discuss everyday politics, organisation of makeshift support system, trivial matters, and gestures that often overpowered by the usual productivity and stability formula.
The first volume of the zine comprises of Nuraini Juliastuti’s notes on food, travels and home. She writes about her home in Surabaya, growing up with cooking and improvisations from her mother and grandmother. Nuraini writes of her time as a PhD student at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and her move to Melbourne. The volume is designed by Natasha Gabriella Tontey, a Jakarta-based artist and designer.'—description taken from publisher's website
