Catalogue of joint exhibition entitled Fiction@Love held at the Musuem of Contemporary Art, Shanghai in 2006. Featured in the exhibition are works inspired by cartoons and animation. According to Kwok Kian Chow (Director of Singapore Art Museum), the space between reality and fiction has inspired artists of the new century to widely infuse digital technology, comics, cartoons and animation with their creations. In half a century, this expression as influenced by the pop artists of the 60s has blurred the boundaries between art and non-art. It also cultivates the boundless territories of the artists' free expression. Regarded by scholars as the ninth art, these new techniques are flying towards new and unpredictable directions. The present exhibition also features works presented by Nokia's Connect to Art initiative.
