Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 18: 'On 31st May 2010, the death of Louise Bourgeois made me very sad. Next to a market is a pool of stagnant water covered with duckweed. Every time I pass by, I will stay there for some time as I am attracted to the unique atmosphere there — closed, lonely, indifferent, and sad. I instantly feel that the floating waste in the pond is so similar to Louise Bourgeois' work, emulating a water spider's curvilinear movement, which led me to the source of this unique flavour, and I found the way to photograph this place.'

The performance took place in Hangzhou, China.
