‘For the past thirty years, Fung Ming Chip has developed and applied an artistic language which draws in wide ranging sources, to explore the roots of the calligraphic image: seal carving, wood carving, ink painting, as well as sculpture and sgraffito.’ – Paul Serfaty. The works presented in this exhibition catalogue demonstrate how Fung transforms his study in and understanding of the Chinese characters in three-dimensional form: sculpture.
