The present publication offers an introduction to the upcoming 3rd Guangzhou Triennial held in the second half of 2008. Taking 'Farewell to the Postcolonial' as its premise of discourse, this edition of the triennial 'intentionally departs form the current trend of post-colonial, multi-cultural approach that have formed the critical basis of artistic production, and examine in what ways it has reached its limits to the extent that it is beginning to have negative, restrictive effects on art-culture curatorial thinking.'
