'Handasah: Unity in Pattern' is the second in a series of six solo exhibitions, showcasing artists of South Asian descent as part of a three-year Parampara Programme conceived by Shisha. This publication offers a visual kaleidoscope of Islamic-inspired, geometric forms produced by Zarah Hussain, who mixes watercolour paints handmade from natural substances which are then applied to handmade paper. An introduction by Alnoor Mitha, Director of Shisha, an essay by Islamic art specialist Keith Critchlow, and Zarah Hussain's artist statement are included in the catalogue.
