This book introduces Huang's achievements in comics, academic research and painting.

Huang Yao excels Chinese history, literature, philosophy and the arts, and is at the same time a well-known cartoonist. In 1934, when Huang was working as a reporter in the press, he created the cartoon character, Niubizi, and later on produced a series of comics based on it. Apart from that, Huang is also knowledgeable in landscape painting, Chinese Folk and calligraphy.

Includes a chronology of Huang Yao and plates of his works.
