Insa Art Space launches in 2006 IASmedia program to revitalize the video art scene in Korea. As a narrative and time based media, video art has an immaterial characteristic compared to painting, sculpture, or installation. Therefore, acquisition and collection of video art is relatively limited, calling forth an alternative way of circulating and supporting this medium. Directed as a long-term project to protect the distributional environment of video-digital art and complement the limitation of the field, IASmedia seeks to build a video archive and collection focusing on distributive activity. The present publication consists of information of the video works collected and distributed by IASmedia in 2006 and 2007. With details of the program and rental conditions.
