Published in conjunction with 'Image of an Exhibition', a project which took place across the UK in 2015 in the form of commissioned works, writings, panel discussions, interviews and exhibition. The project aims at investigating the roles and circulation of photographic documentation of exhibitions and artworks.

'With the knowledge of how these images are used, their creation has become an increasingly considered subject. Asking: if the ease of production and widely circulated distribution of the image of exhibition, slipping from laptop to smartphone with increasing speed and fluidity, circumnavigates the need for the exhibition at all? Artists, curators, archivists, academics and art professionals were invited to respond to this moment, investigating how new image capturing technologies inflect and infect the exhibition space.' - excerpted from the introduction by Nicholas Smith

Includes transcripts of four panel discussions.
