'Infiltration - Idylls and Visions' is the second of a series of exhibitions in the Guangdong Museum of Art focusing on contemporary ink painting. Its concept is developed from a position not considering ink painting a separate domain. It relates to ink painting as a spiritual discipline rather than as a technique or a particular tradition. It therefore comprises the works of 12 artists coming from different backgrounds – such as ink painting, oil painting, and multimedia art. 'Infiltration - Idylls and Visions' then signifies the participation of non-ink painters into an exhibition of ink painting and simultaneously suggests the permeation of the spirit and the aesthetics of ink painting into their work and creation.
