The paintings by Chinese artist Ji Dachun are famous for their purity of expression, especially the minimalist composition - the subject always appears in the middle of the painting, sometimes in a relatively minuscule size, leaving a large void area in the painting. A closer reading of his works will reveal the satirical contents the artist tried to convey via his chosen subject-matters.

The present publication is a monograph of the artist, covering Ji Dachun's early Twombly inspired works to his more recent cartoon-based satires. Artist's biography is included.
