The artist himself stands at the center of this urban maelstrom, attempting to process visual and sensorial overloads into works of art that might stand apart from the chaos while illuminating something of its conundrums. Kallat ebbs and flow with the parameters, unleashing the potential of his art objects (photographs become installations while paintings flirt with sculptures, figuration is in bed with abstraction, Realism haunts Formalism) while restraining his most bombastic urges.
