Catalogue of Guo Jin's solo exhibition at LIMN Gallery, San Francisco in 2005. Christine Duval wrote, 'His (Guo Jin's) newest series has s sense of freedom. The figures are searching for individual expression by dressing up, performing, dancing. Others are still carrying the burden of the traditional China and the grey tones have replaced the muted pastel colours Guo Jin is known for. These children still remain a mystery whatever cultural or social environment they grow up in. Like a child, China is redefining itself with all its trials and errors. Guo Jin's paintings are the most contemporary assessment of a country in constant flux.' Artist biography is provided in the catalogue.
