The ‘Life/Art’ project is designed to examine the wok of five artists each year over a period of five years. Its aim is to explore an ambiguous area that is neither conventional art nor craft. As mentioned in the Foreword by the organizer, this exhibition is an evolutional successor to the ‘Modern Handicrafts Exhibition,’ organized by the company from 1975 to 1995. Essay by KITAZAWA examines the issue of ‘Art and Craft.’ Selected biography for each artist is available
