This catalogue is published to accompany the exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei (MOCA Taipei) which features works by 24 young Taiwanese artists and 2 international artists. 'The curatorial concept of "Live Ammo" is focused on the particular trend in contemporary art to "challenge reality with virtuality" with emphasis on many artists basing their actions or approaches on the idea of "play for real". It is a strategy for social criticism through "rehearsals" to reach the effects of "real attacks". Based on the concept, the curatorial team proposed the term "Live Ammo" to bring awareness to the various sparks and effects that individual works or collaborative expressions in contemporary art could garner.' — excerpted from preface
