Living in the Scene

Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 123:'10 minutes and 37 seconds (IKEA, Kowloon Bay shop, Hong Kong), issue-based performance documentation

What defined the nature of space?
How does a space affect people's actions?
And how do people's habits reflect their minds?

I do not explore the physics of space, but through intervening certain spaces, I examined the multiple definitions of identities in different spaces.

'IKEA' creates an image of 'home' through the setting of the shop. By living in the shop, I reflected how the commodities make up the typical form and concept of 'home'.'
