Loggboken or The Logbook is an art-project about communication and cultural exchange between five female Chinese and five female Swedish artists.

'In January 2003 ten handmade books started to make their way by sea between China and Sweden. The books were made by five female Chinese and five female Swedish artists. Every time the books arrived, the artists set to work in a book of their own choice, adding pictures, sketches, photos and text and then the books were sent back again... One year after beginning, this project has entered a new phase. From March 19-April 21, 2004, these ten artists met each other at the Nordica in Kunming, China and worked together to exhibit these books. Now, this work and related articles will be displayed in Beijing at the 25000 Cultural Transmission Center. Immediately following, this work will be moved to Sweden, and the ten artists will continue on with their cooperative exhibition there. ' - excerpts from 25000 Cultural Transmission Center newsletter.

The present catalogue was published on the occasion of the exhibition of the art-project. Featured in the catalogue are documentations of the project by the artists.
