The paintings presented in this exhibition catalogue celebrate Xia Xiaowan’s first one-man show in Hong Kong. Painted from an interesting perspective in which the subjects seem to be floating above the viewers, Xia’s works are full of movement, which is further complimented by the artist’s choice of palette and forms. These works have the effect of encircling and drawing the viewers into the pictorial plane, thus allowing them to appreciate the unusual view. Catalogue includes artist's biography.
