This monograph was published on the occasion of Ma Desheng's solo exhibition, 'Story of Stone', in January 2010, organised by Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery took placed at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, Hong Kong.
Ma's paintings for this exhibition consist of acrylic on canvas, where groups of stones are drawn onto the canvas, with a brightly coloured monochrome background. Each stone can be seen as a body part of a human being, with some paintings evoking dramatic scenes between multiple personified stones.
