In the project 'Mirage: Disused Public Property in Taiwan', professor and artist Yao Juichung led a group of university students to form a group called 'Lost Society Document'. Yao organized photography workshops and motivated around 50 students to conduct a survey of the problem of idle public facilities in their hometowns. The issue is known as 'mosquito halls' because the empty public facilities often turn into mosquito-breeding sites. In a half year's time, they finished the fieldwork of surveying cases throughout Taiwan. Through compiling 147 cases in the present publication, the group try to draw attention to the issue.
