Monograph of the ink painter, Ho Huai-Shuo. published in 1984.
'While it is true that I personally have benefited a great deal form Western art — a fact clear to anybody who knows anything about my works — I have always remained critical of extreme forms of modern art. This is because I firmly believe that art is a lofty activity of the mind, an act with a strong sense of one's culture. As such, it should ecplore and help enhance the meaning of life. I also believe that Chinese artists, strengthened and nourished by the rich anthropocentric spirit of the tradition, will not be blindly led by the nose into extreme forms of Western art.' - excerpted from Artist's Monologue
Includes images of paintings, list of artist's past exhibitions, and artist's statement.
