This is book one of two books for the exhibition. Book one comprises essays, working sketches, and an artist biography; book two is a compilation of colour images of the works. The artist's use of animal skins, such as squirrel and snake (donated by farmers in Central Java who no longer had use for them), initially sparked controversy over animal cruelty. Apart from snake and squirrel skins, the artist also uses frog skins, banana tree skins, etc, sown simply together to create full length cloaks exploring issues of identity and culture.
