This exhibition showcases new paintings by Nyein Chan Su. The following is a statement by the artist on the work. ' During one of my tours through the northern Shan state, I was extremely moved and absorbed in the tranquility of the place. I was attracted by the beautiful tones and colours possessed by the natural landscape of the Shan plateau. I have to create something, which has perceived in my mind. Based on the natural subject's tone and colour, the work was an inducement of a spot of light and a spot of darkness through heavy brush and knife work. The thickness of the medium and the lively colours also supported the cause. I would be staisfied if the viewer could appreciate and enjoy my creations from his visual perspective through his unconscious heart.' - Nyein Chan Su, artist.
