'The exhibition Neighbourhood focuses on the social processes that call a particular locality to mean, through a selection of videotape - video art, documentaries and community productions - that speak to practices and narratives vital to the ways in which the urban identities of people and places are constituted and negotiated. The works engage with diverse communities while at the same time reveal the tensional relations between urban diversity and community, two conventionally antithetical terms, in the formation of what can be loosely called neighbourhoods.' - extracted from essay by Alice Jim. Images of works are accompanied by individual texts.
