Roberta Smith reviews the exhibition "Anish Kapoor:  Past, Present, Future," at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.   Organized by Nicholas Baume, the show is a survey of Kapoor's work of the last fifteen years.  The pieces range from acrylic and resin volumes to an immense kinetic sculpture of deep red wax and paint kept in shape by a built-in slow-moving scraper.   Concurrently, the Gladstone Gallery's two Manhattan spaces are showing Kapoor's new work.  "Above all, Mr. Kapoor surpasses many of his forebears in the restrained accessibility of his art and the ways its formal coundrums and surface pleasures open subtly to deeper forms of thought."
