This is the catalogue of Sheetal Gattani's solo exhibition at Gallery Chemould in 1998. Featured in the catalogue are Sheetal's small square watercolour paintings. Mehlli Gobhai wrote about the artist's use of colour in the accompanying essay, 'The most saturated of Sheetal's work is never simply "colourful", a word that is death to anything meaningful in painting. In a sense, the work, with her powerful sensitivity to colour is ultimately black-and-white. Colour is rigorously put to work and only when totally needed to give life to the work, never a seductive device.' Brief biography of the artist is provided.
