A small catalogue of paintings by Chinese artist Sheng Qi. His work originates from the 'found image', the main source being newspapers and magazines, combined with personal family records. Sheng is determined to remove these images, letters and symbols from their orginal context. The goal and emphasis of his work is to extract and transform the informative meaning above and beyond their pure function in the media.
