An article examining the importance, and effectivness of political activisim in the arts in Indonesia through the work of the collective Taring Padi. The collective helped workers protesting at unfair dismissal to design more effective protest material by running print and puppet-making workshops. In a brief review of a documentary made about the group by the Australian production company, The House of Red Monkey, the author describes the Asian activists as engaged with the broader struggle of using art as the catalyst for revolution and justice.
