This book contains 873 works of language, each by a different writer. These works submitted to the workshop "WHAT NEXT IS THE WORDS SHOW.", which held by public subscription for the project planned jointly by Art Center Mito Contemporary Art Center in Mito City, Ibaragi Prefecture and a Language artist, Hiroko Ichihara in the summer of 1994.

This book is its documentary catalogue. The workshop did not require any limit or particular theme but dictated one work per person and 30 characters in Japanese or 12 words in English. Thus, 873 works from all over the country were accepted.
