The canvases presented in this exhibition catalogue explore the relation of humanity and environment in the run-up to the change of sovereignty in Hong Kong in 1997, showing social behaviour and political nightmares. Mai Jinyao’s wit, his choice of political figures and his fondness of colours add to the distinctive style of his artistry. An introduction to the exhibition was written by Dr. Fang Zhaolin. Catalogue includes biography of artist.
本展覽圖錄的油畫以97年香港主權移交的前夕為背景，探討了人類與環境的關係，呈現了當時的社會百態和政治旋渦。麥錦銚以機智敏銳見稱，而且他在政治人物選材和用色方面皆有獨到之處，繪畫風格獨樹一幟。本圖錄的序言由方召麐博士撰寫，書中亦載有藝術家的簡歷。
