This booklet is Japanese translation supplement to the artist's monograph in French, T'ang Haywen: Les Chemins de L'ence. As it contains essays only, please see T'ang Haywen:Les Chemins de L'ence for plates of the artist's works.
The publication of T'ang Haywen: Les Chemins de L'ence coincided with the exhibition of T'ang Haywen at the Musee Guimet in 2002. Passed away in 1991, T'ang was among the second generation of Chinese artists who studied and eventually stayed in Paris to continue his artistic pursuit. During his long artistic career in France, T'ang's major tool of expression remained ink. The different traits of creativity are conveyed through his paintings which range from figuration to abstraction. The present monograph offers a comprehensive review of the art of T'ang Haywen with a great number of illustrations and a detailed chronology of his life. Lists of exhibitions, publications and collections are included.
