A diverse artist, Thaiwijit Poengkasemsomboon's body of work include paintings, sculptures, drawings, vases, lamps, flower pots, tables, chairs, etc., all created from found and used materials such as scraps of wood, ceramic bits or maybe pieces of paper. This diverse range of materials has been transformed and reconstructed with the right amount of artistic elements to create the kind of aesthetics that satisfies the artist's inner feelings and emotions.
The present catalogue was published in conjunction with Thaiwijit Poengkasemsomboon's exhibition at Garuda Fine Arts and habitat in Bangkok in the year 2001. An artist biography can be found in the introductory booklet while an essay on the art of Poengkasemsomboon in the catalogue.
