Reader I is a summary of the discussions from the first stage and aims to highlight the field of issues central to the Triennial, which include recent trends in rethinking and criticising multiculturalism, discussing post-colonialism in a Chinese context in terms of its consequences and how it is viewed by others and examining the significance these ideologies have had on recent Chinese history.
