Huang Tu-shui (1895-1930) is known as one of the leading sculptors of modern Taiwan. This catalogue which is published on the occasion of 'The Centenary of Huang Tu-shui' offers an overview of the artist's sculptural practice, bringing together over 20 works in wood and bronze, along with selected works of three Japanese masters - namely Koun Takamura, Seibo Kitamura and Fumio Asakura - who were Huang's teachers during his study at Tokyo School Fine Arts (currently known as Tokyo University of the Arts).
