Published on occasion of the exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of artist Insung Lee's birth, this monograph presents an extensive list of paintings and drawings completed throughout Lee's lifetime, as well as other related biographical materials. Accompanied by commentaries of various art critics, this monograph also puts the artist in a historical context, bringing to attention the blossoming of Korean modern art during the Japanese control of Korea in the early 20th century. A detailed artist biography is included, as well as a bibliography for further reading.
