The ceramic artist Vipoo Srivilasa's exhibition is intended to draw attention to environmental issues in a deceptively light-hearted way. Influenced by the Ramayana many of his ceramic pots contain mermaids deformed by the degradation of the seas. The title of the exhibition, 'Colonies' refers both to the marine environment he is overtly depicting in his work and also to the effects of humanity on the world's reefs.
