Yeh Tzu-chi was born in Hualien, Taiwan in 1957. After graduation from the Chinese Culture University in Taipei, he further studied paintings and drawings in the States, and obtained his M.F.A. at the Brooklyn College of City University of New York. His works are classified as realistic paintings, with objects in everyday life such as fruit peels or cups, juxtaposed with parts of his body, such as feet or a hand. This catalogue includes an essay by H. Alan Cheung and biography of the artist in both Chinese and English.
