A profile of the revered Filipino artist Romulo Olazo on the eve of his latest new exhibition "Azool" at the Ayala Museum's ArtistSpace (August 12-25, 2008).  Azool is an anagram of Olazo.  His "Diaphonous" series remains the most popular and several large-scale "Diaphonous" works are included in Azool.  In 1979, Leo Benesa described them as having "a dragonfly-wing type of transparency."  They were "Philippine abstract art of the international geometric variety."
