Xing Danwen purchased her first camera in 1989 and since then, she began to create photographic travel notes during her trips to different parts of the country. Her photographs mostly portray people in their usual surroundings. The present monograph brings together photographs taken from 1989 to 1993. The essay is originally written in German, and all three versions - German, Chinese, English - are provided here. Artist biography can be found in the back.
