The exhibition Writing Paintings, Painting Words is intended to look into aspects of the employment of words in contemporary art and contemplate on the ways they function and create meanings in works. Through the three themes, "Painting Words", "Writing and Painting" and "Writing Paintings", this exhibition goes beyond the stereotypic ideas that words are used only in writings and images are used only in paintings, and looks into the crossing between writing language and painting language.
