Kim Kanatani is the first Gail Engelberg Director of Education of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Kanatani also directs the Sackler Center for Arts Education of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Exploration and experimentation with new technologies are the Centre's hallmark, enabling the museum to broaden and enrich its educational programs for adults, youth and families. Artists, as well as, cultural and academic institutions are actively involved as valued collaborative partners. Prior to joining the Guggenheim in 2001, Kanatani was the Director of Education at The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles, which she joined in 1985.
