In December 2001, Asia Art Archive, Para/Site and West Space organized the symposium "Space Traffic: Artist-run Spaces Beyond a Local Context". The symposium investigated issues, problems and possibilities faced by alternative art spaces and made possible direct dialogue between different art spaces of this kind across Asia.
