Door to Contemporary Art is a series of guidebooks published by the National Art Center, Tokyo. This volume 4 is an introduction to the works featured in the exhibition 'NOMURA Hitoshi: Perceptions—Changes in Time and Field' held from 27 May-27 July 2009. The exhibition showcases a total of 129 works comprising of photographs, three-dimensional and flat works, installations, video, etc., looking back over almost forty years of the artist’s creative work, and is the first large-scale retrospective of his to be held in Tokyo.
